THE GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT
After so many struggles to get this edition done, finally we see the light at the end of the tunnel and this edition is ready for Nuasites and the larger society, “The Graduate Accountant” has become a tradition we intended never to abolish.
Accountants offer financial advice, audit accounts, compute taxes and provide trustworthy information about financial records. They work in different settings including public practice firms and industry and commerce as well as non-profit making organization. Generally they play strategic role by providing professional advice aiming to maximize profitability and to ensure the going concern of the firm on behalf of their client or employer. The “Graduate Accountant” has over the years strove to paint this picture in the heart of its readers.
Alone, I could have done so little but together with a team a lot was achieved. On this note, it will be unforgiveable not to acknowledge my team of editor (Azunnaya Chikwado), Associate editor (Edeh Goodness), and other featuring editors ( Semeglo Mirabel, Nwori Oluchi, Ikhanoba Raphael, Oghugo George, Philip Joy, Irene Udounwa). Talent wins the game, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships although the editorial board consist of members from different constituencies in accountancy department, of the University of Nigeria, unhealthy argument were never heard of. Truly unity is strength when there is teamwork and collaboration.
The 28th edition of The Graduate Accountant contains a host of articles on various topics for readers delight.
